CARHDS educators also travel to Health Centres to deliver individualised training to AHWs in the Health Centre. This can be done on a one to one basis or in a small group. On-Job training is negotiated with the Health Centre team based on the needs of the AHW. On-Job training is a structured 3 month program including workshop follow-up, practical application of skills, experimental learning, problem based learning, project based learning, simulation, observation and modelling, supervised practice opportunities, mentoring and shadowing. It can take place in the Health Centre or anywhere else on the community agreed to by the AHW, educator, Health Centre Manager & Community. |
