CARHDS provides off-job training ie; workshops in Alice Springs or on-site (out bush) at Health Centres. These workshops mainly focus on training needs of AHWs. However, some are multidisciplinary ie; Community Health Profiles, Workplace Assessor and Train Small Groups. In particular we encourage the Health Centre team to participate in the workshops delivered on-site whenever possible. Off-job training is an opportunity for participants to concentrate on new skills and knowledge away from the hurly-burly of Health Centre life. Guest speakers and subject experts are used as much as possible. |
